Joining Hattie Pearson on the sofa this year for our Power Q&A, our panel of inspirational women will participate in an intimate and open Q&A session; discussing their careers, the challenges they face and the future of women in business. Last year the Studio was full to the brim, so head down early to grab a seat and avoid disappointment. Line-up announced soon!

GORILLA CLUB – All Female Makers Market 
4pm – 8pm, FREE entry

Makers Market showcasing independent freelance female artists and their work.
From jewellers to bakers, illustrators and florists, our indoor market will play host to Manchester’s brightest femme talent. Spend your afternoon perusing through our maker’s wares, grab a bite to eat and loosen up with a tipple or two ahead of Deaf’s late-night party with the sultry sounds of Sassy (Netil Radio, London) in the main bar.

Taking over the Main Bar we have spoken word artist Elise Hadgraft – Poet and feminist based artist duo GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS delivering screen printing workshops alongside all female DJ line-up.
Girls Girls Girls – a feminist based artist duo who create work around the themes of equality, diversity, self-love and gender.
Elise Hadgraft – Breaking into the Edinburgh poetry scene over a decade ago under the moniker ‘Annie Phetamine’, Elise Hadgraft has since regained her given name, spent one blissful year as the second best poet in Scotland and become a staple punk poetry presence on stages up and down the country.

THE DEAF INSTITUTE MUSIC HALL – ILL, WITCH FEVER, Current Mood Girl & Julia Brado 
7pm – 10pm, £5 AAA Wristband

Over at Deaf Institute, we have a genre mash-up of the best in Manchester’s forward-thinking female virtuosos with the likes of post-punkers ILL who released their debut album with critical acclaim last year. All girl grunge band Witch Fever who will rattle your bones with their heavy riffs and blood-curdling shriek vocals. Kicking off proceedings we have alternative electronica from soloist Greta who will play as Current Mood Girl and new to the scene Julia Bardo with her dazzling 60s guitar pop and current member of indie band Working Men’s Club.

For this special edition of Karaoke Dungeon for IWD, we celebrate all the badass females and their music, the music that inspired us all to kick ass even more than we already do. In the basement of Deaf Institute come get rowdy, sing your hearts on and celebrate the women who showed the boys how it’s really done.
