Loose Articles formed only a few months ago, this all-female quartet have already garnered glowing comparisons to bands such as Wire and The Fall – hard to dispute given the band’s electrifying, no-holds-barred take on post-punk and new wave. Their USP – hence those Fall comparisons – is the brilliant manner in which they lace their anger with deadly doses of the sarcastic and satirical. Against a backdrop of snarling, angular guitars and a thrillingly rumbustious rhythm section, Loose Articles present their vignettes of youthful revelry, from underage drinking sessions to wild nights on the karaoke.
