The Locks
Fri 3rd Apr at 7:00 pm – Fri 3rd Apr at 10:00 pm
The Deaf Institute

Having only formed in January this year, they’ve already played a variety of gigs, including at Warrington Music fest, and have several lined up for the near future. But who are The Locks?
Well, after James (the vocalist), Finlay (the guitarist) and George (the drummer), met in primary school and continued to be mates, they eventually met Jack in high school, and recruited him as their bassist in college. Together they form The Locks, whose name comes from Latchford locks.
Like many bands, they have their own inspirations, and luckily they all have some overlapping tastes. Those that inspire The Locks include, The Jam, The Beatles, The Stone Roses, The Who, and Fontaines. Having a variety of individual music tastes mixed in with a shared one, allows them to explore different styles and sounds through their original tracks.
Being all mates and having fun while making music, The Locks have amazing stage presence and chemistry on stage. Together, they all seem so confident on stage, as if that’s where they belong, that there’s no better place for them. Their gigs are so much fun and are really worth getting down to. Through a collective love of music and respect for how impactful it is, their main focus is to enjoy gigs and to turn their passion into a career. Managing to get gigs very early on, The Locks have had a great base to start developing a following from. Their challenges thus far have mainly been from their desires to continue to do things like getting to more gigs, recording and so much more.
