The Deep Blue
3rd June 2023 - 7:00 pm

The Deep Blue delicately fuse their hypnotic harmonies with a thinly-veiled air of rebelliousness. Their socially-engaged lyricism and fluid melodies invite the listener to ask questions of the world whilst they dance around their kitchen.Their songs are personal and reflective, and bound to make you feel deeply while you melt into their vocals.

Coming together in lockdown, The Deep Blue burst onto the scene in May 2021 with the release of the first track from their debut EP ‘Taking on Water’. This led to key indie press such as DORK, The Line of Best Fit & Atwood Magazine clambering to get the inside scoop on Manchester’s hottest new band. Their EP release culminated in a packed-out debut appearance at leading emerging artist festival, Liverpool Sound City, a support slot on Flyte’s UK tour dates in Manchester & Liverpool plus multiple spins on BBC 6 Music. The Deep Blue’s debut headline show at Manchester’s Castle Hotel in December 2021 sold out in a matter of hours, followed by their second sold-out Manchester headline show at The Deaf Institute in June 2022. This show kicked off a busy summer for The Deep Blue, including performances at Green Man and All Points East. With a handful of successful singles under their belt since, including collaborations with Alex Amor, the stage is set for this unstoppable band to share their latest creations.
