Girl Scout face the apocalypse with their long-awaited debut album Brink, out this March.
Girl Scout’s debut album Brink is more than just a set of songs. It is a reaction to a cultural
moment caught between apocalyptic anxiety and wistful escapism.
Across the record, the internationally acclaimed Stockholm trio stretch their signature indie
rock into something bolder, deeper and more unrestrained.
The title is no accident. Many of the songs on Brink aren’t so much about living on the edge f
disaster as they are about feeling stuck; about yearning for change, about standing on the
brink of something unknown.
The lyrics wrestle with doubt but also glow with nostalgia.
“It is a kind of self-medication against the world,” says singer and guitarist Emma Jansson.
That sense of being on the brink resonates on several levels.
