Y’alright, luv?

Bollox is back at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on Good Friday 10 April for a Bank Holiday riot of music, art and lewd entertainment. For this party we’re presenting a fresh line up of lgbtqia artists past, present and future for your bank holiday pleasure. Are you ready to be experienced?

🍑Super fruits

👩🏾‍🎤Alt Femme

👠Snatch Game

♻️Laurie’s Swap Shop

Super Fruits is a Manchester based collective specialising in top quality techno, electro and house music . Jordan k Jospeh and Jüngle Julia have all the hardcore partying experience they need to bring you down to their level, to the bollox basement. Expect dirty rhythms, sweaty pits and total liberation. Cum taste the forbidden fruit.

Welcome to the Alt Femme zone where constructs of masculinity and femininity are obsolete. Watch yourself on the tampons and immerse yourselves in our womb room, hang around for the renegade cabaret on our open stage (email the Alt-femme page or turn up with your track or piece on the evening and sign up). More is always more for a true Alt-Femme so why not add a bit more to your look or change it up at our ‘Alt-feminisation Station’ and if that wasn’t enough excitement as always there will be the legendary messy party games and prizes along with a mixup of tunes spanning the decades with our resident DJs . We can’t wait to be reborn with you all so get on your favorite rags and have a fabulous Friday with the Alt-Femme gang.

Tearing up our stage we have a live performance from Snatch Game – a gender bending punk rocking Ru Paul’s Drag Race covers band. Hear all your favourite RPDR ‘classics’ like you have never heard them before… chewed up and spat out in a pogotastic manner, or as the Cruz queens would say, ‘wtf.ruined’.

Keeping the Queer Alt Manchester spirit alive in the music hall our resident DJs will be on the ones and twos playing an eclectic mix of wonky pop, electroclash, punk rock, RnB, 80s/90s and whatever the hell they feel like. Don’t assume musical boundaries, embrace it and be free. And yes, we’ll be playing Peaches for all you elder queers.

Hotline have been called many things stunners, lookers and really old teenagers but what they actually are is Manchester hottest new dance troupe! PLEASE HOLD!

Got any old tat lying about the place, unloved xmas presents, dodgy art pieces, clothes that have mysteriously shrunk in storage, underplayed Atomic Kitten CDs? Bring them along and swap them with something more fabulous at Laurie’s Swap Shop situated up in the Deaf attic.

And of course our dancefloor protest signs, bollox knickers and really fucking cool décor for your to steal as keepsakes.

We are peak queer counterculture. Be part of it.
