Originating from the legendary Manchester’s music scene, The Rainband was formed in 2010 by singer Martin Finnigan .

The Rainband are most famously known for their single 'Rise Again' which was used as a tribute to the late motorcycling legend Marco Simoncelli back in 2012.

Tipped for greatness by everyone from BBC 6Music to Rolling Stone Magazine and following a string of mesmerising performances last year at major festivals such as Glastonbury and during their UK & European tour, The Rainband returned this Spring with a stunning new single, a new EP and a UK tour where they sold out Manchester's Band on the Wall.

‘Sirens’ was chosen to be “Big Tune of the Week” on Absolute Radio, and radio legend Janice Long from BBC Radio 2 gave the track airplay on her show. The tightly-packed track was chosen as a single after an overwhelming reaction from the band’s live performances last year.

And for much of their live catalogue, The Rainband drew swords with rock’n’roll royalty the Kaiser Chiefs and Simple Minds, and also sharing stages with numerous well-known acts, including a UK tour support with Ocean Colour Scene.

The Rainband are currently working at their highly anticipated debut album which is set to be released this autumn and with a first excerpt out early July , and are preparing for a string of major dates including appearances as Paolo Nutini’s Special Guests on his European tour this summer.
